SPREADING “ROLLIGION” IS ON A ROLL!!!THE
CHURCH OF 8 WHEELS 3RD YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Three years ago, there was a roller disco party held at the
old Sacred Heart Church on Fell and Fillmore Streets in San
Francisco. The place had been lying dormant for nearly 10
years when D. Miles, the GodFather of Skate and his crew of
roller skaters came in, cleaned up the place and transformed
it into what is now the Church of 8 Wheels - San Francisco
Roller Disco!!!
Come join us as we celebrate our 3rd year anniversary at the
Church of 8 Wheels!!! We've updated the lighting, the sound,
built new skate racks and more!!! We've upgraded the entire
look of the place since our humble beginnings two years
ago!!!
Today the Church of 8 Wheels is one of those unique
happenings that expresses the essence of what makes San
Francisco such a great place to live!!! It's been honored as
"Best of the Bay” 2014 and again in 2015 in San Francisco
Magazine, S.F. Weekly, S.F. Bay Guardian, huge write ups in
the Chronicle, The Bold Italic, Hoodline and other
blogs and websites both here and abroad!!
Please come celebrate with us on Saturday, Nov.5 2016.
The roller disco services will begin at 7PM and end at 11
PM. The cost is $10 to enter and $5 for skate rentals.
David “D” Miles, the “GodFather of Skate” in San Francisco
will serve as your MC minister on a roll spinning the old
school funk and roller disco music that is the main source
of our rolligious energy.
As we always do, we're gonna have a funky good time!!! |
